A rhetorical question expressing strong denial, refusal or disbelief. It means the speaker emphatically rejects the proposition rather than genuinely asking for information.

How related patterns differ 比較
ために can express purpose or cause. から and ので give reasons, while のです explains background. もの can offer an explanation, ものか strongly rejects, and ものなら hypothesizes a condition. Sharing もの does not make these patterns equivalent.
